I am an HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist. I have worked for over 20 years as a Speech and Language Therapist in the Early Years service for Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Foundation Trust. I also work in the Autism Assessment Team for Berkshire NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service as well as providing autism assessment private practise for young people and adults.
What I offer
My area of expertise is working with young people whose communication difficulties are associated with neuro-developmental conditions, particularly with autism. I provide autism assessments, diagnosis and support. I also provide communication support training for parents, carers and young people. In the clinic, I am part of our multidisciplinary assessment team.
My aim is to provide young people with an understanding and acceptance of themselves through the autism assessment process in a neuro affirmative and empowering way. I aim to give the young person’s families and environment tools to adapt and support the young person. I use a range of assessment tools to get a holistic view of the young person including the ADOS.
